I notice steam from my exhaust, starboard side more than port, during the initial 5 or 10 minutes of the warmup at the dock.
After that it seems that both motors have some steam, but it must be normal because steam certainly is a by product of cooling a 300-hp motor.
I replaced some exhaust manifolds and risers not too long ago, and I can tell you they are extremely heavy and tough to diagnose.
As weather turns colder, naturally the steam factor is greater. Even here in Alabama when the dew point is high, you see steam hanging in the air longer than otherwise. I think the best thing to do is to look at the exhaust each time the motor is started, take a mental note, and then watch for any trend or differences.
