Response to 427 Valves and performance question
Thanks for all your responses. A couple things I also should have mentioned are that I do have the pertronix ignition, the carbs have been rebuilt but I think my rich/lean adjustment may be out of wack (soon to be adjusted) and the only fuel filter in the circuit is the fixed can type thats mounted on the front of the motors with the mechanical disc style element.I noticed that you can adjust the tightness of the disc element and can it be possible to overtighten this which may restrict the fuel flow? I do keep them as clean as possible and the mechanical fuel pumps have great pressure. Can another issue be due to the floats set to low and at high rpm's the carb runs out of supply?
