Response to If it is a Q motor, be sure you set the firing order to the unique Q motor spec

Paul I took one look and yes they are Q's I guarantee it. Anyone want to argue the fact?
So here goes
Port motor firing order
1-8-7-2-4-3-6-5

Starboard Firing order
1-5-6-3-4-2-7-8

Timing is 10 degress before TDC or when the appropriate dimple is in line the the pointer
the pointer is in a window at the front of the motor look here

see the gap /window on the right side of the cover thats where you time the motor

and the appropriate dimple means there are both dimple marks on the flywheel one will have an L next to it one will have an R next to it Port gets the L Stbd gets the R
Any questions?

Class Dismissed

Mark

PS I dont even have to look up the firing orders anymore isnt that getting to something like a NASCAR commercial "How bad do you got it?"
