Response to Welcome Mexico and Brazil !!

Welcome aboard whomever you are in the country of Turkey! We’ve had significant increases in readership this week from this part of the world, and it gives us an opportunity to look into the geographic features of the region and check out the boating scene. Who knows, there may well be some Chris Craft boats in this part of the world! There certainly is an interest in Chris Craft boats!

We invite you to post any questions or comments you may have about the Chris Craft Commander, and would love to hear about your boating environment. Of course, if you see any Chris Craft boats, please send us a photo!

Doing a quick look at Turkey, it's readily apparant that this region is incredibly rich in boating culture and history, in history in general, and with architecture and artifacts from ancient times. It would take more space than we have available here to adequately describe all of the water, marinas, clubs, island resorts, etc!

Regards,

KUSSADASI MARINA TURKEY
It is situated 10 miles North East from the island of Samos. SamoSail also has a base at Kusadasi. Two miles North from the marina of Kusadasi is Ephesus with the most important Greek archaelogical sites of the Turkish region.

Marmaris in Turkey is one of Turkey's premier vacation resorts, built around a sweeping natural bay at the foot of steep pine covered mountain slopes. The old town is a maze of twisting little streets and alleys with whitewashed houses in the Turkish style amid an excellent shopping bazaar.

Marmaris was a Carian city of which history goes back to the 3500 BC. Its ancient name was Physkos of which antique ruins can be seen at Asartepe (1.7kms north). A wonder of nature in itself, in this wonderful country, is the town of Marmaris greeting the Aegean, as well as the Mediterranean, on a dreamlike bay. Here, where the pine-clad mountains form a beautiful backdrop to the beaches of clearest waters, the medley of green and blue tones are fascinating.

This land of lacy coastline is ideal for the sun-worshippers, and offers the most attractive coves and inlets for those who would like to swim, dive or fish. The sheltered bay is a favorite for a relaxing holiday, while also being amazingly excellent for a lively vacation of water sports and sailing.
Along the promenade, adorned with palm trees, the Marmaris marina is a busy yachting center and also a pretty sight. The "Yacht Charter Show" organized here every May, is an enjoyable event with captains and. crews coming together to sail with nature-lovers, among the impressive southern coasts of Turkey. One also may take the famous "Blue Voyage" from here, and make a fascinating trip along the elegant coastline of the Aegean. Marmaris is a yachting heaven with vast facilities for yacht owners.

Kemer is a jewel in the Turkish crown! Situated on the Turkish Riviera on the Mediterranean coast it boasts 300 days of sunshine a year making it undoubtedly an attractive holiday and second home destination. Today Kemer is known internationally as a very important and desirable holiday resort destination with its 5 star neigbouring resorts and hotels. This cousy town is an actual sample of the urbanization. It is not spoiled , quite and comfortable holiday district with its infrastructure, easy and organized transportation, utilities of communication and well working Municipality.

One of the major attractions to Kemer is the magnificent mountain scenery and views. Set in the valley of the Taurus Mountains it is lost in the sorrounding countryside which is an area of natural beauty, Kemer is entrenched among fabolous mountain views, pine forests, orange and lemon groves.
The most attractive point for Kemer now is the new ski resort opens up and this makes Kemer a year round resort. There are few places in the world where you can swim in the sea and ski on the mountain snow at the same time of the year!
