That second photo does look like the Hindenburg! What an exciting day that must have been, seeing the big toy being lifted about like that.
I have a high appreciation for the Roamers, they're well finished out, good looking, and I certainly prefer the aluminum versions. I have a buddy who had one at our YC several years ago. It was (I believe, from looking at the photos in the non-essential guide) a 56' aluminum Motor Yacht, with the diesel 8v-71
It ran like a bandit, and I think he still has the boat somewhere on the Alabama Tennessee River area. His name is Tom Whayne, if you have any records on that one. The aft deck was like being on the back of a large whale. Very cool boat, built like a ship.
