Response to Re: Steady as she goes

Hi Steve, the trailer has obviously been painted. I noticed that too, but upon lookin at it here in Tennessee, it's obvious there had been some rust, which has been sand blasted or otherwise sanded off, and a nice coat of paint has been applied. The trailer actually looks new, and I suspect the rust was from having it just sit outside for a period of time. Thankfully the wheel bearings and tires were not a problem.

I'm looking forward to getting inside and starting the inventory list and action list. Springtime will be here before you know it, and with all the potential diversiions, we need to get started on this soon!

I have not spoken to the previous owner, Mr. Flower, but I hope to sometime in the future just to say hello and to learn more about whatever he knows about this boat. I think he bought it as a restoration project but never got around to it. I don't think he every actually ran it. In any case, from looking at your Commander (which was a big part of our decision to buy this boat, by the way) we saw the kind of condition the previous owner liked to keep his boats, and it gave us some assurance about this one (which turned out to be right)

Thanks again for the tip!

Regards, Paul
