Response to Tools of the tune-up trade

Hehehe... I would go for the martini glass first!

Had a rattle in the SB engine the other day. Knew what it was right away -- another bent push rod. Had a rum and coke FIRST to head off the depression, popped the valve cover, and yep!

Not too bad of news -- we can fix these things in our sleep now. This must be one that we didn't "unstick" before. Thought we had done them all, but we did these randomly, and it would have been easy to overlook one. I would be suprised if we have many more after this.

Also, I have a couple extra new push rods onboard. Hey, do you have any idea how much a valve push rod costs for a 427 engine? I was thinking they would be $15 or $20 each. Nope, only $1.80. That has gotta be one of the cheapest engine parts I have ever seen.

Best wishes, Curt...
