the timing problem is that the feed ect. to the oil hole feeds the rod after the t.d.c after max load on the oil wedge, this can break the oil film and we have metal to metal contact.then we have heat then more break down ect.= leg out of bed!!!In opinon cross drilling or full groove mains help a bit. the past people have pluged the exit of the big end and drilled 90 deg to it rite through the big end this was to stop centrifugal force blasting the oil out of the bearing, and to stop cavatation of the oil in the oilway from the mains to the rods.Bruce crower did som r&d when they were racing an indy car with a turbo 200+ cube chubby and they twisted its tail hard all day and found they had to do this and other mods. but even TR3 trimuphs had this mod due to the verv long stroke. my 366 steel moldex clevo crank has the same oiling set up
