Yes the chinese crank here has a slight variation on the theme... in that, the hole initially heads towards the cranks center... then turns and heads to the BE.... BUT the actual direction/angle/entry and exit points are the same as Bryant and LAE cranks I have here. They are all not drilled like OEM cranks.

What I am trying to get accross is that - it is possible that the high rpm oiling issues MAY be either directly or partly related to the cranks oiling layout.... i.e one rod is fine as is the main itself...whilst the other rod is "toast".
