My blown up 428CJ's used a Performer RPM Manifold, Ed 427 MR heads, a .571 lift solid flat tappet cam with the factory type (not shell) lifter, PumpBuilder stands/end stands, Comp 1.76 roller rockers and Ford MotorSports Push Rods. This combo went together very well with no pushrod clearance issues or adjuster problems and served me well for 9 years and about 10K miles.
The 445 Stroker I putting together will have the same intake, but with ED CJ heads, a Comp 294S Cam & Lifters (.605 lift)and I will reuse the pushrods, Stands/End Stands. I have decided to give it a new set of rocker arms and I was thinking about stepping up the the Harland Sharp 1.76 Bushed Rockers.
As I understand it the valve spacing and location is the same between the Ed MR & CJ heads, is this correct? Also are the HS rockers identical dimension wise to the Comps? Is there any chance of pushrod interference with the holes in the intake, the cup of the pushrod or the amount of adjuster exposed with the HS rockers in this configuration? I want to nail this down before I order the rockers. Thanks. ww
