Sorry about your hearing loss, but it may have alot to do with why you think Bose sounds good.
If you will recall, the Bose flag ship is the 901, and I have a problem with a speaker that comes from the factory with it's own equalizer to boost the high and low frequencies as that played flat, the sound is unacceptable.
I own a surround sound system consisting of 3 Klipsch TSCM speakers, which were an $11,000 per pair, set of profesional version of the Cornerhorn sold only to movie theatres. I also own Cornerhorns, and a pair of Velodyne HGS-18IIs.
I have set my parents up with a Klipsch surround settup with a Velodyne Sub in their house, and my sister owns my old settup at her home.
Sorry, but Bose is not accoustically accurate. Dr. Bose orriginally got big with an unparraleled garantee that ceased back in the 70s, and became a giant by superior marketing strategy, not superior sound.
