Flexplate Woes

Hi guys.... I need some help please. Situation - have a 65 352cid with the tranny where the dipstick tube attaches into the side of the pan. The original flexplate broke. Haven't found an exact match but did find a flexplate from a FE with the same type of tranny. tried to put the old engine/tranny back together but the torque converter bolts but up against the flexplate. If I align the flexplate to the bolts then it will work. The ring gear is pressed onto the flexplate towards the engine, not towards the tranny. My question is.... what will happen if I use this flexplate. I still haven't found a 65' flexplate from a 352 and I'm running out of time. Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks again. You guys are the greatest and have a heck of a great thanksgiving.

Gas mileage.... what the heck is gas mileage
