Band replacement

Yes the band can be replaced without pulling the trans providing you are using the flex band. The old band will need to have one end cut off or trimmed to clear the case as its pulled out and the new band has to have one end trimmed for clearance to re-install. I would only recommend doing it this way for a stock street trans that sees little or no high performance use. Once you see how the band end is trimmed you will understand why.
