The TI used single points and gap spec is .019-.021 dwell is 22-24 degrees @ idle. The dual points were used to increase effective dwell to 30-33 degrees for more coil "soak" time. When the TI was brought on,it was not needed.As noted,they are only used for trigger pulse/no/low current flow. The rubbing blocks wear before the points corrode/pit. Again,only my opinion from years of Ford builds. Others may/will have input.Take a vote....
