Rather than answer everyone's posts, one at a time, which could take me a week or more, I will post this message.
There are problems right now with emoticons (smileys), images, links and other things. All of these are related to a recent security issue which has been resolved. The problem is that the security fix has shut down many of the bells and whistles forum owners and their users have gotten used to. I cannot solve these problems, I can only relate them in both directions.
I'm sure the N54 guys are hard at work trying to figure this mess out. Believe me, you wouldn't want their job right now. Trying to fix something that doesn't affect all users and affects affected users differently regardless of their operating system, browser or other settings is maddening, to say the least. Even when it appears they have solved an issue, it seems to come back later on.
Keep in mind that the moderators here do not work for Network54, we are merely volunteers with varying degrees of knowledge of the internet and how things should work. Most, if not all, of us have day jobs as well, so we aren't here at everyone's beck and call. Sorry if that annoys anyone, but we do our best. We also have, for the most part, no knowledge of the internal software configurations used for this forum. We can only tell you what we know to be true, and sometimes we can be wrong as well, just because we don't know the exact inner workings of Network54's software.
Trust me, everyone here, from the moderators to the staff, are as frustrated as you are. We can only hope that they find a solution to all of these problems soon and we will continue to help them, and you, in any way possible.
