I just got back from dinner and have an email from a person who posted on my forum. A post she had made as well as specifically only HER reply to another thread are gone. I have never shared my admin password with anyone...ever. Not even my husband. How did someone hack into my account?? Or, what the heck happened?? There are quite a few people that are not fond of this lady so I am sure she was a target. What can I do besides changing my password to keep this from happening again?

• First, do any of your forum members have the delete keys?
• Second, are you sure you can trust this woman's word that her posts "dissappeared"?
• Third, even if they did dissappear, it is entirely possible that it was a glitch in the system. I have had this happen myself on my own forum. Posts that I made never showed up. No one deleted them, they just somehow slipped through the cracks in the posting procedure. It usually happens around the time Network54 is doing server updates or other technical service.

If it makes you feel better, change your password anyway.

Nobody has any delete keys. I am the only one that moderates anything. Yes, I know for sure the posts disappeared because i read them myself before they disappeared I've posted before and have seen the posts act like they weren't going through, then it shows up three times. That seems to happen often...this is something different. Well, darn...I was hoping for an answer. I did change my password, just wish I could offer her an explaination as I hate for her to feel that I did this intentionally.

I can't explain this one. I checked your access control settings--they are set so that you should be the only able to delete a post, so you did the correct thing by changing your password.
