Lately, I have trouble posting about 50% of the time. I get a message that says that "The forum owner has blocked access to this page."

He hasn't. I have spoken to him and he says it's a Network 54 problem with some AOL accounts.

When will this be fixed? I hate it when I write a long post and ther network decides not to accept it.

There's nothing to fix, except for you to stop using the crappy AOL browser that doesn't work right.

Gee, thanks for your "help". It's always someone elses problem isn't it.

Network54 has a system that doesn't work with the country's largest internet provider but it's their problem, not yours.

First of all, it;s not "my" problem. I don't own any part of Network54, I just volunteer to help around here.

Second, AOL sucks. Their browser is garbage. Get on the real internet and take off the training wheels.

Ripper is correct. AOL has a long history of running a nonstandard and noncompliant browser. That means that on some sites, the AOL browser fails in some manner, sometimes spectacularly.

Personally, I think AOL does this on purpose in order to keep customers from surfing too far from home. They want you using AOL forums, not Network54.

It is pretty easy to try a standard browser. You can start up Internet Explorer on your Windows system anytime your computer is connected to the internet and run the AOL browser and IE side-by-side. Usually there is a big blue lower-case "e" next to your start button.

I'm willing to bet that if you load up the Network54 forum you like you'll find it runs properly in IE, but fails on AOL.

None of my business, and I don't speak the cyber-lingo...but, I have been on the Net 10 years, and have had several N54 forums nearly that long.

I have experienced lotsa problems from folks with AOL!!!!

All of them are fiercely loyal to aol--Stockholm Syndrome, I think!

Don't ask aol or anyone who has aol--everyone else knows enough to stay away from aol. I have sinned a lot in my life--but never had aol, Thank God--you're welcome, Dicko!
