Looking for NC Sprint
by
My aunt had a sprint. It was the coupe. She had to sell it when she went over seas back in the early '80's (I Think, maybe late seventies). She was stationed in Goldsboro NC at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. I don't have a VIN # only a memory of a car that I loved to ride in as a child. If anyone bought a Sprint in that area let me know. I know that originally it was purchased at Farmville Ford in NC by my grandfather for my aunt.
I would like to invite everyone to check out e2cars automotive network, one of the largest and most popular automotive network on the web. e2cars has researched all information available and linked to some of the best leading automotive web sites that you will find anywhere.
I'm in need of the blue seat fabric, if anyone has any or knows of anyone that does it'd be great if you could let me know. This is the only thing holding me back from finishing the resto.
Ok, im 18 years old and dont know much abour Ford transmissions. I have a Sprint with a 72 Cougar XR-7 351C in it. It has the stock C-4 transmission in it and 2nd gear is messin up real bad. I`d like to put a C-6 in it. Does anybody know if there is a C-6 that I can take from a vehicle and with no mods, bolt it on to mine? What kind of results will I get if I do this? Will it be better to stay with the C-4 or swithing to the C-6? It is an automatic by the way. The guy that sold me the car told me if I put the C-6 on it, i`d burn out all the way til 3rd gear. Oh, do these things have posi-traction? Cause i`ve been leavin a 50ft black tire mark down my friends road.(Notice I said tire MARK with no s on the end) Thanks for readin this, and help me if you can.
351 should have a C-6 tranny I think,
But get your self a book called the mustang 19641/2 - 1973 restoration guide. then look at the code from the diff. this should give you the gearing if the gearing has not been changed. Is yours a fast back or coupe?
Today while surfing a local boneyard for some parts for my 71 mach 1. The owner of the place showed me a Q code 1972 Sprint Coupe he has.
The car is a good resto project. It carries Utah plates and has the mach 1 style grille that appears intact. The 351 C is there, but has an aftermarket Edlebrock carb. There is also slight surface rust in the engine bay.
The body has been repainted white. With the correct blue accents on the lower portion of the car. The car doesn't have the stripe on the hood nor the USA shields on the rear quarters. There is some slight rust on the driver side rear quarter.
The interior has been redone. The front seats aren't correct. The back seats are original though. There is no headliner left. Some surface rust on the underside of the roof.
The car currently has Magnum 500's on it.
I can get further information if requested. I'm also willing to go take digital pictures of the car for parties that are interested.
For pictures you can email me and further info on the car - ssandlin@icehouse.net
Contact Andy @ 509-924-9824 if you wish to talk the seller directly. Asking price is $2000 and the car is located in Spokane, Washington.
