1972 Q-code Sprint Coupe Wanted
by
Looking for an original or restorable 351-4 barrel, Q-code mustang sprint coupe.
We have purchased a Sprint, but we dont know a lot about sprints in general. We do know that this one was restored in 1990. It is in very good condition. The engine is not the original, and the seats have been replaced (they are original colors, but leather now). There are a few touch up things we will be doing to the car. Anyone with information as to the value of the car please let us know. We think we got a great deal, but would like to be sure. Pics available on request. Not interested in selling at this time.
Congratulation on your recent acquisition. You mentioned you felt you got a good deal. How much did you spend? Any rust? What part of the country are you located? Sprints are very unique autos and I am sure you will enjoy yours. If you wish, you can email me pictures at coutangman@bellsouth.net.
I have a '72 sprint sport roof, no engine. Some extras. It started with a 351c 2bbl, very rair. I just wanted a 70-72 for my son. I don't want someone to miss out on a "sprint restoration", if that is what they want. Can I get 3200.00? Someone help find a home for this car. Offers??
I am interested in the car for sale, am also interested to know if you have pictures, does the car have factory air, what condition is the interior and where is the car located.
Type 1972 mustang sprint on MSN, scroll down to Graphic Express-1972 mustang sprint. Decals are advertised there. They are a little on the exspencive side but are good quality.
I have an origenal sports roof with under 20000 miles. It has 351 clevland 4v 4sp. (mach susp.?).Has mag 500 wheels and orig. looking plyglass tires. No rust on this vehickle that I can find.It was featured in Mustang magazine in 1998 does anyone know ball park what it could be worth?
May want to sell it, for pics. see photos on this site under Mustang magazine Dec. 1998. this mustang needs no restro all origenal!!!! to include paint!!!.
That sounds like a great mustang. I have a '72 sprint that is too big a job for me. Great concept, but I just wanted a 70-72 for my son. I don't want someone to miss out on a "sprint restoration" if that is what they want. No engine for this 351c 2bbl, a few extras. I need 3200.00. Who wants this great car to do it right?
I have not seen any reproduction of the hood decals. I have the oroginal measurements if you need them. The USA flag decals are available from Mustangs Unlimited and other large suppliers.
It is one of 90 built. It still has the #'s matching powertrain. It is a "B" package(magnum 500's,staggered shocks, rear sway bar,351 4V/CJ).The car is missing the magnum 500's and center console. It has headers but i have the exhaust manifolds. It still has the #s matching powertrain including the correct CJ aircleaner. It needs a complete resto but it is very worth doing. Please emial me if you are interested.Thanks...John
My husband owns a 1972 mustang sprint convertible. He's had it for over 12 years. He has worked on it somewhat and purchased parts for it to restore, but now he is looking for someone in the baltimore area that may be interested in finishing the job. It needs a good bit of work and he had someone lined up to do it, but that didn't work out. If anyone knows of someone in the baltimore area who may be interested in doing something of this nature, please send me an email....thank you so much....Joan
