1991 Mazda 323 fuel confusion?

Hi all

I own a '91 Mazda 323. I stay in South Africa and at the start of this year, leaded (97 octane) gas came to an end.

There are two other types available: Lead Replacement Petrol (LRP, 95 octane) and Unleaded (93).

Unsure whether the valve seats were hardened or would wear away (and following a qualified car mechanic's advice) I've been using LRP in the car.

I've noticed the following: the car takes longer to warm up in the morning and generally doesn't go as well.

Can a 91 323 take LRP or am I currently damaging the valves? Should I be doing anything, like having the car serviced more regularly etc.?

Input would be much appreciated!
