Timing Help

I just put a new head on my 95 mazda mx6 and i have all the timimg marks perfect all i need is where the distributor is supposed to point when i have the piston tdc.

When an individual piston is at top dead center, the distributor rotor will be underneath the spark plug wire for that cylinder. Is that what you were asking?

Yea basically like cusser said, if you have your upper timing cover off and have #1 on the cam sprocket lined up with the arrow and 1 piston is at TDC then when you install the distributor line up the marks and the rotor button should point to where number 1 plug wire goes into the cap.

Below is a link to a page on my site for the B2200, the block and internals are the same so pretty much you can follow it for visual reference. The only difference should be your distributor comes out the right side of the head instead of off the side.
