transmission noise

is there any way to lubricate the gears of a manual transmission without taking the transmission out?? my transmission has been making a little bit of noise lately and im wondering if thats whats needed. get back to me on that.

You didn't say what year and model you have, but there's generally a screw-in plug on the side of the transmission for checking fluid, refilling, etc. Why not call your Mazda dealer and ask them? Additionally, fluid specs. differ and they can tell you the proper type for your car. Be forewarned that if the transmission is leaking, you've got problems that will require its removal for repairs.

its a 1993 protege dx 5 speed, if thats anymore helpful.
