Ok, I recently aquired a mazda 626 2.2L n/a and it won't start. I was able to pop start the car so I know it runs great when it goes. I originally figured it was the starter so i took it down to a local autozone to have it tested and it checked out fine...ok so next i figured there was a bad ground so i cleaned all the connections and tested them, still no attempt to start. Next I checked all the fuses and they are all fine...the relay clicks when the key is put into the on position and the battery is brand new so im sitting here pretty much out of ideas. If anyone could help me here it would be much appreciated. btw in the hayes manual it says there are fusible links but i cannot find these to save the life of me. please help.

i am having the same problem and i have run all the same test. the last thing i can think of is the saftey nutral switch. this is when you push the clutch in it lets the engine start. i have not done it yet but i am goping to try. a switch is about $30-$35 at autozone and you can find it unter the dash attached to the clutch

You might also want to take a look at your battery cables. There could be a break. Also take a look at the fusible links in line to ensure there OK.
