92 Mazda MPV, car would take 3-10 times before engine start.
I took the Van to two different shop and local Mazda dealer; they could not detect the problem.
Engine turning, get spark ok. today I crank 10 time was no start, I pull out the number 1 Spark plug was no Gas or smell any Gas, I have replaced fuel Pressure regulator and Fuel pump relay, but still no luck. "I suspecting Fuel pump defected".
Please help!!

I think the next thing you should look at is clogged fuel injectors. Thats if the fuel seems to be fine.

have you had your battery checked out for a dead cell? when you have a dead cell your car will start just fine....at least whenever it is that it pleases. It will start, then not start- but when it is running, it runs fine. Just something to chew on...

After changed 3 starters in 3 month and others parts was no luck. I decided to buy another starter, but difference manufacture 'BOSS'. "Now car start like a brand new car"
Thanks! to members that shared/input, that keeps me going.

You originally stated that engine spun OK, that's primary function of the battery and starter, so getting a new starter sounds "iffy" unless the older starter spun the engine much slower than the new. But if it works fine now, don't give it a second thought.

Respond to Cusser.
My conclusion was three New starters from the same manufacture was not spun enough power for engine to starts, so I thinks these starters did not generated enough spark to get engine to fire up, BOSH starter seen to work perfect for this older Van. Battery was ok.
