I have a 1994 Mazda 626 that I have practically rebuilt. Now it seems to run great, but the idle is rough. I have found out that you cant just increase the idle speed because it is controlled by the computer.(??) Anyone know how to increase the idle speed just about 200 rpm in order to smooth out the idle? Need help!!!

Are you sure you need to increase the idle?
My Dad tried to smooth out the idle on his Toyota.
It didn't help. Turned out to be a cracked insulator
on one of the spark plugs, that was just installed.

No I'm not sure if that's what needs to be done. It seems to be idleing at about 500 rpms and I just know that when I give it a little gas, the car doesn't shake anymore. It's just annoying more than anything else.

If the idle is computer controlled, then no, you cant adjust it (I'm almost positive anyways). There are so many things nowadays that feed the computer. As much as it sucks to hear this, you have to find out what part is at fault and lowering your idle.
Check all the vacuum lines that they're back on properly and not cracked or pinched. Check the EGR valve lines especially. It could seriously be a handful of things, so check all your connections over very carefully.

In my opinion you should try to find another IAC valve (Idle Air Control Valve. This is what controls the idle on fuel injected cars these days
GOOD LUCK

If your car does have an adjustable idle as my 93 929 does take alook on the back of the throttle there should be some sort of small screw where you can make minor adjustments.
