Please someone help me,

I have installed an intake on my 92 MX3 V6 GS, and it worked fine. A friend of mine gave me a better pipe that I liked, so I wanted to put it on, and I did.
Before I tell you anything,i got rid of the one I had and I also opened what I beleive is called a throttle body, now this is the thing where the gas pedal is hooked up, and it has 4 bolts, so I unsreewed them and I cleaned the thing totally, I also bypased those coolant hoses that go into throttle body.
Now, I took my car for a spin and it was running fantastik, once I got back into my garage, it started idle-ing up and down, and then I shut off the car.
I was affraid if those coolant pipes caused a problem, and I put them they way they were, while I was working though, I accidentaly droped my mass air flow sensor, now the car wont start at all,or if it does start, once i rev it up to 4000 rpm it just drops dead and chokes. Reason am writting is, because i am not really sure when exactly i droped it since i took it for couple of spins, please tell me how to test the mass air flow sensor or
Could it be the mass air flow sensor, or i screw somehting else up.

I think I have the same problem and was wondering if you ever found out how to test it.
