Yep, I agree the Tribute and Escape are brothers, but there's no new Protege. It has been replaced by an all new model called the Mazda 3. C&D referred to it as a re-skinned Focus, but the platform was developed by Mazda and Ford, with some input from Volvo. The Ford Probe was an offshoot of the Mazda 626/MX-3 and uses the basic Mazda platform. It's not related to the RX-7.
You may be interested to know that Ford wants to use the Mazda6 platform for several upcoming models.

the mazda 80s mx-6 are the copy of the probe 80s identical and yes mazda did makea stereo plate removal key just like the ones for the probe but 25 bucks more expensive
