When I worked in air freight at Frankfurt airport years ago I succeeded in 'converting' someone to freeballing. It wasn't intentional: after work in the summer a group of us used to go swimming sometimes at a lake nearby. My colleague Andreas noticed I wore just jeans with no underwear and thought it was a cool thing to do. He started doing the same and it really turned his girlfriend on, so he became a fulltimer. Didn't just stop wearing it - actually threw it in the bin after about a week. All the other guys wore underwear, so my impression was that freeballing in Germany at that time was unusual. They were all in their 20's, which is perhaps the age where you'd expect freeballing to be most likely. Andreas was a free thinker, a bit alternative, the sort of person you maybe wouldn't have expected to wear underwear in the first place.
