I think that the new system works very well.If a topic is popular then it will stay near the top of the page and one will not have to trawl down the page to look at a topic that may have many recent postings but is relagated to a lower space owing to the orignal posting date.This new system works very well on many other forums.In fact I have been considerating asking Nat to introduce this system here!Thanks Nat
