In my opinion,yes & NO. if you are going to buy some pushrods do it once!!buy 3/8. 5/16 will work ,and i have raced with them.dam i have even buzzed one 302 windsor ,one very good 302 windsor to 10,200rpm on every run but they are short and stiff but if i could have put in 3/8 i would have!.so why not overkill it. nascar have shown that a lot of valve problems come from the sprining of the pushrod.was your spring rate 300 per inch?
