Thank you so much! I loved your threads on the restoration of the Parklane. It saddened me when they ended.
Did you see my complete restoration of the '59 Colony Park? If not here is the link. viewtopic.php?f=84&t=1331
The wiring is from Narragansett. Here is the link http://www.narragansettreproductions.co ... rness.html

What it takes to repair a convertible rear deck...mine was a bit rusted. Another effort to make sure every possible hidden rusted area is addressed.

Nice work. You are lucky that it wasn't worse and that it could be fixed. I remember I had to replace the whole section on my 59 Park Lane and it was not very easy to find a good one. This is a more important part on the car than many seems to know and if it is structurally weak from rust you might get serious problems when the top is being installed.
Just one question, why did you change from posting the nice larger pictures to the small ones that hardly shows much details at all? Please go back to the larger image files

Very nice Rick, isn't it nice to see all those old parts come back looking brand new?
I will go back and look at all the pictures now that they are better. There is always something to learn by studying how other restorers work.

Not much to update on this thread. Engine is out at the rebuilders. The brightwork polishing and chrome are being started.

Sad news. The project is on hold. I've not seen photos in a while, and the builder has no interest in proceeding further. He is on to bigger and better things. Not sure what is going to happen to this one.
