Feel free to introduce yourself. No obligation off course, but a nice way to get known to you a little. It's allways good to know your first name. Jeff or John sounds better than, "hey linc58prm2_1......"

Hi I'm Thor. My wife and I have a '60 Lincoln series 60 sedan with the 430 2v. We also have a '54 Pontiac with a 289 from a '67 Fairlane 500. We just got the Lincoln and have BIG PLANS for it.

Hi Thor, welcome to the forum. Yeah, big cars, big work. Sure worth it. Hope you also enjoy the new forum section where you can discuss restoration themes too. We also have a "Show us your ride section" which can be founf in the "Photos" category. I'm curious to see photos and reports about your project progression once in a while.
Have fun in the forum
Best regards

Well, when we got it she ran decently. It had sat for quite a while inside, so I changed out the plugs, wires, cap, points and condenser, flushed out the rad a bit, changed some of the vacuum lines and rebuilt a carb for it. After a while it got a nasty miss and smoked like a Chivvy. I pulled one of the valve covers and #s 3 and 4 intake pushrods weren't in their place. I pulled them out and also found #3 int. lifter's innerds had come out. I pulled out the lifter body and stuck in a new one, got two new lifters and put it back together. Fired it up and it ran smooth again. Now I am giving it a leak down and then the heads are off to the machine shop to be gone through and hardened seats put in.
