Hello,
my name is Thomas, but i don´t react on Thomas. Everybody call me Tom.
I live in Hamburg, Germany and i am a cabinetmaker.
Until last christmas i had a normal live and my hobby was the Toyota LandCruiser. I am writing a book about the whole story "The LandCruiser". But then a Friend send me a pictuer of a white 1966 Lincoln Continental Coupé and i was addicted instantly.
Since then i was thinking about to buy, or not to buy the car and on 14. of march i decided to buy it. On the 29. of April i get it and i can tell you how hard the time of waiting was. It was like hell.
In the meantime, I have recognised that there is not too much to find in the Web and that makes me wonder. Why everybody loves MOPAR? Lincon is very much underrepresentated and i dont know why.
But i am shure that i bought the right car for me.
I hope to finde some answers, even here. and i am so curious abut the huge Motor and how it runs.
In this moment i am a little bit worried about parts availability. but here it will come to a good end in any case, i hope.
best regards from the newbee
Tom

Re: Hello from Hamburg
Hello Tom,
welcome to the MEL forum. Nice car. It looks like a strong running straight car. At 7 $ per gallon a little thirsty too I guess. ;

Hello Tom,
It looks like your taking good care of her. Have you put much mileage on it yet?

Re: Hello from Hamburg
I try to take care
and i drove round about 2000 miles but i don't drive from November to may.
It runs great since i fixed the fuel-pump. is something to do on the vacuum-lines and still looking for a bypass window switch and passenger side window-switch.
but in total i love my time-machine.

P.S. do you have some resto-updates?

P.S. If you send me a photo of the switches you are looking for I have some sources here that might just have it.
