this 1959 mercury parklane is an all original 77,000 mile car. It still has the original paint, interior is still under plastic, and the 430 engine has not been touched. by the way the 1958 Packard in the picture is mine also.

That is an amazing looking original car. Is the trim as nice as it appears to be? You're car is very much en vogue - I believe - as the collector world is moving from over-restored trailer queens to original cars that are being driven.

BEAUTIFUL MERCURY!
Does the moulding at the base of the C-Pillar have CRUISER imprinted on it? If so, can you show a closeup?
Your roofline was termed CRUISER in 1959 and 1960.

Jim, I edited your post above. By uploading the photo by the board tool (choosing photos from your hard drive rather than linking to an external URL) large photos are automatically sized to a 600 width thumbnail. Once klicked it will enlarge to 800 px.
Your parklane was cut off on the right side as it was bigger than 800 AND as it was externally linked. I copied it stored it on my HD and upload it. Now we can see the whole picture. Impressive car. Congrats

Oups, I just realized that the expanded photo is more than 800 px., in your case 1024, probably the orig. file size. Maybe a board bug. Works fine anyway.
Best regards

First Theo Thank you for fixing the photo.
now for more pictures of the parklane. In the first one of the dash you will see to the left of the column a very rare option for 59 mercs. It is Seat-o-Matic, known today as memory seat. when you turn off the car the seat automatically moves all the way back & down. when you start up the car again the seat returns to the original place it was set.
Second picture shows accessory litter basket and factory floor mats. note the leg room for the passenger
Third & Fourth show the 430 MEL Engine that has not been touched since new

WOW, I didn't even know that there was a Seat-o-Matic in existence. What a cool luxury yet practical feature this is.
The basket too.
My daily driver would need s.th. like that too. But it had to be a looooot bigger
Thanx for the interesting photos.
