Re: 3 x 2 setup wanted for my 430
3X2's are the Holy Grail of the MEL owner. Here is some free advice, worth every cent you will pay for it
Ebay seems to be the most common place to see either a Edelbrock L300 or a Mercury/Moon FOMOCO intake. If someone sells the Ford original marauder intake with numbers correct Holleys, the price is usually quite high (2500 or so) The intake manifold seems to range anywhere from around the $600 mark to well over $1000 without carburetors. I have investigated having carbs built for my intake.....$1500. Then there is the issue of the air cleaner for the cars, and those are also quite expensive.
Keep an eye here, Ebay, and the HAMB. They do come up, but you have to be vigilant, and prepared to drop some dough.
Good luck.

Considering hood clearance the aftermarket one might be better.
The '61 up Lincoln intakes are much lower than the 58-60 and the Edelbrock intake looks lower than the factory one.
