Egge 430 pistons

Post by edselman » Fri 17. Sep 2010, 07:57

I was wondering if anyone has used the Egge flat top piston replacements in their engines. If so,what difference in engine performance did they find?
I know all about the issues with using these pistons vs the originals.
I built a 430 using these Egge replacements, since I wasn't able to find an orignal set at that time. I did have the orignal cam reground to a 429 cobrajet profile, which does have different duration, and would increase compression ratio some. I havent' installed engine or fired it yet. Just having second thoughts before I do. Appreciate any info. Tom :?:

Yes
I have read the info from the discussion. Just wondered if anyone in this group has used the Egge flat pistons. Tom
