I just picked up a 1968 Lincoln Continental. It has the 462. The motor runs fine for now, but a rebuild is in the future. I'd like to be able to upgrade the Cam and intake slightly, as well as dress up the engine with a little Chrome for cruise nights.
I'm a former exclusively GM guy. So as it stands now, I'm just learning about FE motors, because I'm restoring a 67 Mercury Parklane Breezeway, Q code 428 car. And now because of the Lincoln, MEL's. I've heard about adapters for Chevy BB Valve covers, and BBF intakes, but no info on where to get them.

Re: New 462 Owner in AZ
Welcome "OnTheBottle". I can probably tell you more about FE engines than about MEL stuff, There's a lot of previous discussion about aftermarket products etc. Just read through those various sections. Hope s.o. else can chime in.
Best regards
