Reijer, do you know this guy?
http://www.haarguitars.nl/haarguitar/parts.html
He builds custom guitars of tremendous quality. I ordered a Telecaster with my own custom specs. The waiting time is long but seems to be worth it. I played one of his models in a Berlin store and it was amazing.
I could custom order my guitar w. all options one can think of. Like neck width and profile, color, woods etc.
Here's a guy who plays nice demos with Haar guitars

Hi Theo,

No, I've never heard of this custom guitar shop. The telecaster in the YouTube clip sounds much better than off the shelf ones (less thin or twangy). Did you have to get your arms and hands measured?

:) Yeah allmost. He's doing an incredible Job. I can't wait to receive my order.Meanwhile I prepaid the Tele that I liked in the Berlin shop. So if the custom order happens to be of lesser sound quality, I would at least have the other perfect one. Just to make things sure.
I used to have a huge collectzion of vintage guitars in the past but sold most of them. I now have just three electrics that do allmost all I want. Unfortunately I missed to keep my 71 Tele that I sold 15 years ago for just 300 $. Today prizes spin to the moon. The Haar Tele is the only new guitar that will become an accepted member of the vintage pack.
I guess I'll have to put up a video one day.

Looking forward to that video.

I sometimes read about vintage (late fifties) Les Paul models being sold for an obsceen amount of money. Makes you wonder if they're kept in vaults by investors or if they're being played by guitarists....
