My BMW K 1100 RS
This is my daily driver in summer and winter. I speed it up to 150 m/hr on the autobahn. Unlike me the bike is capable to run even faster. The problem is my current helmet. It probably sits too loose on my head and causes extreme vibrations to my face and eyes. My view gets very bad then.
Best regards

Re: My BMW R1200GS
Here's my BMW R1200GS. I've put 43,000 miles on it. An absolute gem!

Yo, that's a nice photo of a great bike. The lack of bags reveals that you didn't have to ride it too far away from home. Where ate you located Bill?

Re: My BMW K 1100 RS
Hi Theo -
I'm in the Los Angeles area. That shot is taken in the Santa Monica mountains above Malibu. When I go up to the canyons to scrape pegs I leave the bags off
Normally for commuting I have the aluminum bags on. Here's another shot taken very close to the first shot - looking out over the Pacific:

Scraping pegs,..., well said. You got a pretty comfortable yet torquefull klimber. My RS is happier on the autobahn.
I figured an average piston speed of 20.76 m/sek and a maximum piston speed of 33,77 m/sek. The rod/ stroke ratio is 1,87:1.
Good photo Bill. I met a girl in a hotel in San Francisco. We met again in Burbank where she lived with her parents. Nice area.

Frosty is back...
Man, I just came back from a windy ride. At 28,4° Fahrenheit 3 of my left hands finger died after a few miles. I have some very good winter gloves but they didn't help even w. the handle heater turned on on stage 2.
Everytime when traffic allowed I drove the bike right handed while I layed the other one on the valvecover.
I took a break at a biker's inn where you usually meet about 100 bikers at the same time. But oday only one guy besides me was there.
I had some spaghetti and a hot chocolate, layed my gloves on the heating core and tried not to think about my way back home.
Those where the longest 35 kilometers of my life. My hermometer had fooled me when I left home. It said 50° Fahrenheit, but it was not.

Heated grips!
I need them on my bike even in California. It was 36 degrees F this morning...

36°??? Is this normal or is it an exception? Sounds pretty cold for hippie land.

Re: My BMW K 1100 RS
36 deg. is pretty unusual around here. It has been cold for two weeks! Normally it gets down into the 40's at night and will stay well into the 60's during the day. You guys are much colder over in that part of Europe. We hippies don't do well in that kind of weather...

Re: My BMW K 1100 RS
What a twisted world. We didn't have snow since a couple of years and the weather got way to warm in winter. Today is the first chilli day since weeks.
I prefer warm climate but the changes make me think.
