462 Teletouch

462 Teletouch
I'm wondering if the transmission out of my 58 Edsel Corsair will bolt up to the 462? I want to keep the teletouch option. if it will not will the teletouch shift motor bolt onto a transmission that does mount to the 462?

- Music instruments you're playing: I have been a Roadie in a Swedish BluesBand ( Monaco BluesBand ) from 1983-1989 on tour in Germany Holland Finnland Norway and Sweden.That was one hell of a party all the time in the Berlin area we played at Qvasimodo and at some bikers bigmeet i belive the bikers was called ( Born To Be Wild ) 8)

Ok so will the Teletouch work on the transmission that goes with the 462?

I don't think so. See this topic from the 460 Ford Forum about 3/4 the way down. It seems like a 61-up trans might work but not early MEL.
