I have a collection of early transmission parts, mainly kits.. I do not remember any complete servos but if you post or pm a picture of what you need I may be able to match it.fhogeweg wrote: ↑Thu 14. Jun 2018, 23:20Here is a update about our car.
Received the servo about a week ago, and it was not complete!!! I was missing the piston, spring and retainer. This one missed the retainer! So $60 spend, no solution.
Bought a used transmission yesterday that was supposed to be out of a 60 Lincoln. Will be collecting it in two weeks and hope to solve the problem, maybe make one out of two....
Many thanks for the help so far!
Still looking for the trunk molding for a 60 Premiere and two red tail light lenses.
Anyone got some??

Re: 1960 Lincoln transmission problem
Hi Chris,
Thanks for you reply!
I forgot this post and I am just looking at it right now. I found a complete transmission here in Europe and bought it for €500,- (about $600,-) with know info if it would run.... I am trying to swap the servo body tomorrow, and try to let you know.
If I read your post earlier we might have saved a lot of money!
Thanks again.

Re: 1960 Lincoln transmission problem
Hello everyone,
Swapped the servo body with no result other then the tranny is complete again now.
Also swapped the valve body, again not result. This is what we know now:
Park: keeps the car parked and in neutral
Reverse: does nothing, like neutral
Neutral: moves the car FORWARD!!!
D2 & D1: spins the wheels forward in second gear
Low: put it in first gear
How is it possible that there is no reverse, and wheels are spinning forward in neutral? The transmission looks like it is rebuild, fluid is crystal clear red, and all parts look shiny new in the transmission.
I could still try to swap the rear servo, and/or pressure regulator. The transmission we bought has a lot of sludge in it like it never had an oil change, so using that one would not be the ideal solution.
Thanks for everyone who is trying to help out!! Really appreciate it!

An automatic will normally spin the wheels while rased and in neutral. I worked on transmissions out of high school 93/94 but don't remember enough to start lying about why it spins.fhogeweg wrote: ↑Fri 29. Jun 2018, 10:42Hello everyone,
