From what I know there was this 58 Lincoln with the 430. and the Edsel with the MEL 410 (not FE 410).
I think the 59 T-Bird had a 430 too. I'll leave the rest to you guys. I'm not too good with this. Would be cool if you could post pics w. the post.
Thanx

The 58 Merc had a 383" MEL and had a 3x2 carb option. I think the 59 also had the 383. And if my feeble ol' memory serves they also were used in marine applications. Some of the Christ-Craft, Tollycraft Owens and others too numerous to remember used or had access to The MEL engine by Eaton, the same co. that used the "Interceptor" trade name. They also used alot of FEs from 352s to 427s and everything in between as Interceptors.

The three two barrel option was available on the 430 only in the MERCURY and LINCOLN top of the line for 1958. It was dubbed the SUPER MARAUDER (MERCURY) and had an advertised output of 400HP. I haven't come across anything that the option was available for the BIRD as installation actually began in 1959.

.....and it looks very modern. Pretty similar to these day's EFI designs. I haven't seen this one yet. Polished aluminum looks way cool IMO

I have an original filter for this......
and it is the forunner of the FE oval job. I let a nice complete filter housing go for $15 bucks, ouch! Dont forget the Turnpike Cruisers. I think they had one too, but I may be wrong, its been so long.
