Does anyone know what the conrod lenght and piston pin diameter is for the 430 and the 462?
430- Con Rod Lgth- (CTR TO CTR) 6.599-6.601 Piston Pin Dia. 0.9750-0.9753 (1958 MERC Shop Manual)

462- Con Rod Lgth- (CTR TO CTR) 6.599-6.601 Piston Pin Dia. 0.9749-0.9752 (1967 LINC Shop Manual)
Also were the 462 created by opening up the bore from 4.30" to 4.38" and using the bigger crank in a 430 block?

Are the 430 and 462 identical besides the piston and crank?
The 462 was a redesigned casting first used 1966. It is the same basic block as the 430 but with minor differences.

I thought I had posted (on the old forum) the spec sheets for the 462 at the least.

Glad I could help.
