PS pump stuck on crank..help!

Post by DanLaRu1 » Sun 14. Apr 2019, 13:56

Hi all,

Was trying to remove the pump the other day and it seems stuck on the crank. Removed balancer and woodfrey key fine but it’s like the sleeve on the crank is stuck. Was able to remove the cover of the pump to move it a little more. Got in about an inch away from the timing cover and the whole PS case spins around. After removing the cover, it looks like the gear inside is seized. Anyone come across this before? Pump must have run hot at some point. Tried a pulley puller but the center bolt goes too far into the crank end and I’m afraid of messing it up.

Anyone have any ideas or come across this before???

Thanks!
Dan

Hi Dan,
I have this exact same problem, did you ever come up with a solution?
