hi all over the winter i found a 1958 continental conv barn find with 64 thousand miles on it, very nice shape, the car was built in febuary of 58, the code on the block is 4-82QA is this one of the motors that they had problems with, and what should i do to this motor, i have been told to take the thermostats out behind the water pump thanks dean

nice find. Don't care about problems w. the motor. You've found a good place to learn and share about these motors. We need to kmnow more about the condotion of the car, engine etc. Did you crank it pover or start it yet? How about some pictures?
