It's good to see s.o. doing things right the first time. You must have great fun. It will sure pay on the long run.

Good bye leaded gas, hello unleaded ;)

May I ask you to measure the length of the rocker arm shafts. I want to know how much difference in lengzh there is to the FE shafts. I assume they are a bit longer.
Thanx

Damn, I know you asked me a while ago... I will do that this week... Yep, things are coming along... This engine is NOT cheap to rebuild at this level, but I figure that while I have it apart, and given that it will not be rebuilt for a very long time, doing it the right way is important. It's not like a 350 chev that if you grenade it, just build another one.

Thanks I will check with him to see what he has.. :)

Here are my Nicson marine flame arrestors, and the intake and some other stuff that is/has/continues to be polished

The nicsons are going to require a spacer to stretch them out some, given how close the 2300's are to each other. I am going to make a wooden pattern and have the spacer cast in aluminum, then machine the ends to hold the arrestor and bolt to the carb.

Heads have been bead blasted, disassembled, rockers cleaned and reassembled, ready for machine work. New guides, new intake seats, new stem seals, springs will be checked.
