I knew it was familiar to me. I' used to live in Mannheim for a while and used to travel this route a few times. Beautiful. In the seventies I once slept in a vineyard a few miles up north. Lot's of Rock concerts and my olive green U.S. Army mountain bag was my best friend. It was Leo Kottke playing in the Loreley and a few more bands. Grace Slick's Jefferson Starship was announced too but they didn't show up. The Lorely flipped to a mad house and people started to burn down the whole place while looting the stage and stealing the equipment. I was just about leaving this hell when the troops flew in w. helicopters.
Anyway this route is an extremely beautiful trip to drive. Lot's of middle age castles on steep hills along the river rhine. Congrats.

it will take a while to get used to it. Even an E-Type Driver slow down on the Freeway watched us with thumbs up and passes by.
