The heads are not physicall taller, but starting in 1961 with the LINC specific redesign of the 430, the intake manifold carb pad was lowered and moved towards the rear of the intake (this is more apparent on the 63/65 4V intake) to fit under the new lowered hoodline. It may be that the 66/ hoodline...

The best choice for the MEL OEM 3 X 2 intake will be the 58/59 heads.
If you plan to use this engine on your 67 LINC, you will have to modify the hood closing.
