Re: What's the size of MEL Engine Lifters?

MEL lifters are the same diameter as the Fe's. Without measuring, I believe they are 0.875". The bore spacing between the lifters is slightly wider than the FE though so you have to be careful when trying to use roller lifters from a FE as the link bar may be too short to get full travel in a MEL.

Re: LOOK WHAT I FOUND

The Mopar six pack carbs are a bolt on. I have the 440 carbs on mine and simply bored the throttle holes in the intake to match the carb bore sizes on the end carbs. The center pivot carb bowls on the Mopar carbs just clear the distributor without having to change over to the side pivot flat faced b...

Re: Engine Paint Color question

I used the Porsche Green and had the local paint shop put it in rattle cans. Here's a link to the picture of the Edsel 410 that was painted with that particular paint. Still holding up well at this point with over 6K miles on the engine.

Re: WTB: Headers for MEL engine

Thanks. That sounds like a very viable option. As you've mentioned using another set of headers to use for this, I'll check out the spacing on the BBC headers as I run across them quite frequently as opposed to the 460 headers. 460 headers in my part of the country are like looking for hen's teeth.

WTB: Headers for MEL engine

I'm needing a set of headers to use on the dyno for MEL engines. At this point, I'll consider anything in lieu of building a set specific for dyno use. What have you got? My contact info is at www.eatonbalancing.com . Thanks, Ted.
