Intake Valve Stuck Open & Old Gas
Old gas turns bad and leaves a varnish like coating on intake valve stems that does not burn off. It gums up in the guides. I have personally seen it twice. If you only have a couple gallons of bad gas you can usually get away with filling up with new gas diluting the varnish.

WANTED: Water Pump & Fuel Pump Rebuild Kit
I have FE parts for sale that I can trade or willing to buy any kits you may not be using. Look in the all parts for sale. 1959 Lincoln 430 MEL. Car build was November / early December 58. has an A/C fuel pump. Water pump starts with 575. Ask for any other needed info.

I have a couple of distributors out to compare. The left distributor is FEU-12127-J from a 1958 332 FE, the right FEW-12127-H from a 1959 430 MEL. They use the same FEK-12378-B vacuum advance and seem to be the same internals. There is a difference in gear to seal distance with the FE being greater....
